My folly is to try and capture the Spirit of Cyprus through photographs …

… any fellow dreamers?

Born in London to parents from Trikomo and Ayios Georgios, both near Famagusta, my origins lie in Cyprus.

To get closer to my roots I set out in 2013 to be the first person of Cypriot origin to cycle the full perimeter of the island, hugging the coast all the way round www.ilovecyprustour.com

To get closer still, 5 years later I set out to be the first person of Cypriot origin to walk across the entire island from Paphos to Apostolos Andreas, over the Troodos mountains and along the Karpass range www.theapostlesway.com

I like being the first !

On these adventures and many other sojourns around the island my camera is my constant companion and comfort blanket. It is my partner in my folly, my co-conspirator as I try to understand the island of Cyprus and get close to my roots.

I don’t think I have got close enough yet. Maybe the search will never end - thankfully.
